Job Description
SOCIAL WORKER REQUIRED
The Western Cape Cerebral Palsy Association (WCCPA) non-profit organisation has a position available for a fulltime Social Worker.
REQUIREMENTS:
? Registered with SACSSP as a Social Worker
? At least five years' experience and knowledge of the legislation pertaining to social work services.
? Fluency in Afrikaans and English. Xhosa will be a recommendation.
? Experience in working with people with disabilities will be advantageous.
? Competency/ knowledge about cerebral palsy as well as intellectual and physical disability is a prerequisite.
? Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and good work ethic. Additionally, the person should be compassionate and empathetic yet assertive.
? Must be able to work with children, youth and adults with disabilities.
? The person should have the ability to work within a team approach.
? A valid manual drivers' licence.
? The position is in Cape Town and no relocation cost is on offer.
