Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with implementing the Partys direct marketing objectives
  • Ensuring the Party is responsive to voters on all social media and any other relevant channels
  • Developing an expert understanding of audience targeting in terms of online, direct and social media advertising as well as organic content sharing
  • Design and layout of marketing material according to brand identity guidelines
  • Ensuring that all content shared is of utmost quality and beyond reproach in terms of grammar, factual accuracy, strategic relevance and brand identity
  • Conceptualising and writing copy for a range of marketing deliverables including graphics for social media, marketing emails and longer form booklets
  • Proofreading all marketing content before publication to ensure a professional end-product

Minimum requirements:
  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent
  • Accredited course in social media and communication
  • Accredited course in graphic design and copywriting
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing social media for brands
  • Relevant experience with proofreading provincial languages
  • Proficiency in English and one other provincial language
  • Experience in graphic design, video editing and photography
  • Experience using Adobe In-Design, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe illustrator (advantageous)
  • Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite and Zoom at intermediate level
  • Valid drivers licence with access to a vehicle for daily use
