Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Machine Operator who can operate numerous machines, e.g, Eccentric press, Guillotine, Bending brake machine for a company based in PMB.
Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• 4+ years' experience operating either eccentric press, guillotine, or press brake machines (or all three).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/technical drawings.
• Knowledge of metal types, gauges, tolerances, and finishes.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools, measuring instruments, and safety protocols
• Physical stamina and strength
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain eccentric press, guillotine, and press brake machines to start a production cycle.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and job cards.
• Load and unload sheet metal materials safely and accurately.
• Perform bending, punching, stamping, and cutting operations to exact specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to control speed, pressure, and dimensions.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and safety checks.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges).
• Record production data and report any non-conformances or defects.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
• Control and adjust machine settings accordingly.
• Feed raw material to machines.
• Inspect products with precision and measuring tools
• Test the operation of machines periodically
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Maintain activity logs
