Job Summary REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric, Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Course, Diploma or Degree in HR Management or Industrial Psychology advantageous
  • Min5 yearsxe2x80x99 work experience in relevant human resources position with good experience in employee and industrial relations
  • HR operations and compliance experience is essential for successful interactions
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to / influence & coach employees
  • Strong business acumen (understanding of business, performance drivers and direction)
  • Leading people, setting an example and experience on project sites
  • Working experience & achieving results in a medium to large organisational structure
  • Range of experience supporting different parts of business to develop broad business acumen
  • Proven track record in a middle to senior HR role covering implementation of key HR plans and initiatives
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels from Unskilled Occupational Level to the Top Management Occupational Level
  • In-depth knowledge of Labour law and HR best practices
  • Proven knowledge in IR management, CCMA disputes, disciplinary hearings/grievances
  • Proficient in MS office, Word, Visio and advanced Excel and PowerPoint is a must
  • English (Read, write, speak) Any other languages that can be spoken would be a plus
DUTIES

Compliance, Legislation, and Industrial Relations:
  • Assist the Team with company compliance and all existing governmental and legal reporting requirements - Employment Equity Act (EEA), Skills Development Act (SDA), Department of Labour and Employment, Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
  • Support with other ad hoc functions in the Team with regards to Employee Relations, Compliance, and administrative functions
  • Represent the company with legal disputes and geographical/provincial CCMA cases, depending on where the projects are situated
  • Must be willing to frequently travel to project sites when the need arises and deal with any Human Capital or Employee Relations issues
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR and IR matters, supporting line managers and site management
Recruitment, Skills Development, Training and Development:
  • Responsible for the hiring and recruitment process from interview stage up to offer stage for fixed term employees
  • Ensure recruitment tracker and planner is kept updated with fixed term employees
  • Develop & ensure the execution of the companyxe2x80x99s on-boarding program for fixed term employees to guarantee efficient staff engagement & employee satisfaction
  • Ensure new employees are trained and orientated with regards to all policies and procedures xe2x80x93 especially site staff
  • Assist the Team with policy formulation and implementation
  • Provide regular assistance with the EE barriers and measures as well as monitoring the progress of our numerical goals in collaboration with the Skills and Development Partner
Administrative tasks besides the above which inter alia includes the below:
  • Compile reports and presentations for sites with regards to employee relations, headcounts, and union figures where necessary
  • Manage and review HR metrics, and provide monthly and quarterly updates
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
