Role Overview:

The Senior Director/Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting will serve as the primary authority on US GAAP compliance and financial disclosure for the BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure Inc and other entities within the VCV Group. This role is responsible for the integrity of our financial statements, the evolution of our accounting policies, and the coordination of critical external functions including audit, tax, and insurance. The successful candidate will be a key advisor to the CFO and the Board of Directors, ensuring that complex transactions are accurately reflected and communicated to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Disclosure

Statement Preparation:

Oversee the end-to-end preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements (10Q/10K) for BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure Inc. in strict accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Narrative Analysis:

Lead the drafting and review of the Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) or equivalent narrative reports, ensuring a clear and accurate story is told to investors and leadership.

Documentation:

Maintain and review all financial statement notes, supporting schedules, and required disclosures to ensure transparency and completeness.

Leadership:

Support and mentor the VCV Group Accounting Share Services model.

Systems:

Design and implement a financial reporting software with integration into BlockchAIn's ERP maintained by the VCV Group Accounting Shared Services model.

Technical Accounting & Policy

Subject Matter Expertise:

Serve as the lead expert on complex accounting areas, including Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), Lease Accounting (ASC 842), Consolidation (ASC 805), Equity Accounting, and Purchase Accounting (M&A).

Policy Development:

Establish, update, and enforce a comprehensive suite of U.S. GAAP-compliant accounting policies and technical position papers.

Judgments & Estimates:

Review and validate significant accounting estimates, accruals, and assumptions to ensure they align with current standards and business reality.

Compliance, Audit & Risk

Internal Controls:

Direct the management of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), ensuring robust documentation and compliance protocols are in place.

Audit Liaison:

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the PBC (Prepared by Client) process and resolving complex audit inquiries.

Tax & Insurance:

Coordinate with external advisors to ensure global tax compliance; manage and maintain the VCV Group's corporate insurance portfolio to mitigate business risk.

Strategic Leadership & Board Relations

Board Communications:

Lead the preparation of high-level financial materials and presentations for the Board of Directors.

Cross-functional Advisory:

Provide technical guidance to the broader finance and operations teams regarding the accounting implications of new business initiatives or structural changes.

Pay: R1500000,00 - R1800000,00 per year
