  • A new channel has been introduced and will scale appropriately as growth allows inaccordance with breaking into the Small Medium Enterprise market.
  • The team comprises of 12 advisors that will in future report to regional branch or business development managers. The Senior Sales Manager is overall accountable for the success of the function. SME group funeral and life solutions.
  • Conducting a proof of concept to test the new market segment and products and solutions resonance to the SME customers.
The initial focus for Metropolitan Franchise is to perform sales. Serving and administration will be performed by the partner for the period of the POC. The intention of using the partner platform is to help penetrate the SME market quicker through the mutual agreement of the two companies. Further development of the platform and/or additional Metropolitan products and solutions will be invested in post POC.
Role PurposeThe SME Sales Advisor is responsible for generating revenue and achieving sales targets by selling Metropolitan solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, with emphasis on building strong relationships, understanding stakeholder business needs, and providing solutions that meet those needs.
Requirements
  • Matric / equivalent NQF4qualification
  • Tertiary qualification / degree
  • Product and solution competence
  • FAIS requirements based on DOFA date
  • Industry specific knowledge
  • 2 to 5 years of industry related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in salesand advisory capacity
  • Proven track record in maintainingcorporate clients and face to faceengagements

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Understand the Group Life and Group Funeral products and solutions offered by the organisation and keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Initiate a plan of action to target identified Small Medium Enterprise owners and stakeholders to effectively create interest in proffered solutions.
  • Identify and contact potential SMExe2x80x99s through various methods, such as cold-calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Track and measure sales performance through meeting or exceeding weekly sales targets.
  • Build relationships with SMEs takeholders to understand their needs and provide viable
interest and uptake on the saleable solution options. * Analyse client needs and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products and services.
  • Successfully navigate the policy administration system platform to exhibit business solutions
with finesse, providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process, displaying a
deep understanding of the solutions, and resolving possible issues in the process. * Provide product presentations and demonstrations to stakeholders, showcasing the benefitsand features of the solutions. * Generate quotes for SME stakeholders using the policy administration system platform andmanage renewals to retain clients across the annual contract period. * Actively manage scheduled visits with SME stakeholders and maintain strong relationshipsthrough regular follow-ups and continuous engagement. * Produce reports that track sales activity and progress, including updates on successful salesand pipeline forecasts. * Collaborate with the sales team to identify ways to increase sales revenue and achieve organisational goals.Competencies
