Job Description

Facilitate the coordination and support to the production of the Municipality's Workplace Skills Plan aligned to the Municipality's strategic objectives and local and National policies and legislation as well as linking the developmental and social service delivery needs of communities and developmental needs and opportunities of individual employees.
This post reports to MANAGER (STRATEGIC PLANNING & QUAL ASS)
Key Responsibility Areas

  • Advise, guide and provide input on production and implementation of the Workplace Skills Plan.
  • Collection of Information regarding development issues.
  • Provide administrative and liaison function.
  • Interacts and represents the Municipality on aspects related to Education, Training and Development.
  • Execute the Skills Audit by evaluating the Municipality's level of skills.
  • Execute and manage Learning and Development processes based on needs analysis objectives in accordance with the provisions of the Skills Development Act and the Municipality's IDP.
  • Co-ordinate activities associated with interns, work integrated learning.

Essential Requirements
  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resources Development or Management or Public Management or Public Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification.
  • Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) certificate.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license
  • 3 years relevant experience
  • Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements
  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resources Development or Management or Public Management or Public Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification.
  • Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) certificate.
  • 4 Years relevant experience.
