About the Role
Structure 8 Projects is looking for a
dedicated Site Safety Officer
to join our team for a1-year project in Greenpoint
. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, managing site safety files, and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.Key Responsibilities
Act as the
Construction Safety Manager
on-site daily. Maintain and update thesite health and safety file
. Conductsafety inductions
for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors. Manage and control allsafety registers, permits, and checklists
. Enforce compliance withOHS Act, Regulations, and company H&S standards
. Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site inspections. Report and investigate incidents/accidents. Liaise with client's safety agents and auditors.Minimum Requirements
Valid
Health & Safety training certificate
(SAMTRAC, NOSA, or equivalent). ValidFirst Aid and Firefighting certification
. Minimum 2-3 years' experience in construction site safety management. Strong knowledge of OHS Act and Construction Regulations. Excellent communication and record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently and take accountability.What We Offer
