Job Description


A site operator has a dual role in managing site operations and ensuring the security and safety of the premises.Your scope of work and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Monitor and control access to the site, checking credentials and authorizing entry for authorized personnel.Continuously observe and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.Take necessary actions to maintain security and safety, including contacting law enforcement or emergency services if required.Conduct regular patrols of the site to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry.Maintain detailed incident reports and records of security-related activities.Oversee and operate site-specific equipment, such as gate systems, alarms.Ensuring the site is always clean and well maintained.Assist with cleaning and general maintenanceMaintaining on site security.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Knowledge of security proceduresStrong communication skills.You have excellent communication skills in English ( in-person, hand-written or electronically)Attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.Basic knowledge of emergency response.Customer service experience is a plus.You live in close proximity to the areas advertisedExperience in security, site operations, or a related field is often preferred.We give preference to candidates residing in the Durban CBD and Durban north areas.Need to start in Jan 2024.
