Ensure the site complies with the NKP Act and all other relevant security legislation.
Maintain and implement the NKP security plan.
Conduct regular threat and risk assessments and update security protocols accordingly.
Oversee access control, perimeter security, surveillance systems, and emergency response procedures.
Liaise with SAPS, NKP inspectors, and other government agencies for audits and compliance checks.
2. Operational Management
Oversee all site operations including personnel deployment, logistics, maintenance, and daily administration.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure the availability and upkeep of critical infrastructure and resources.
3. Staff Supervision & Development
Manage security and operational staff, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
Ensure all security personnel are NKP certified and their credentials are valid and up to date.
Conduct regular drills and training in emergency protocols.
4. Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of incidents, patrol logs, visitor registers, and compliance documentation.
Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
Prepare for and assist with NKP compliance audits and inspections.
5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce health and safety standards in accordance with OHS Act requirements.
Coordinate emergency response and evacuation plans.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric
PSIRA Grade A certification (mandatory)
NKP Certification (Mandatory)
Firearm competency
At least 5 years' experience in a similar security/site management role
Knowledge of the
National Key Points Act
and related legislation
Proven leadership, planning, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficiency in MS Office
Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
Willing to undergo regular security vetting
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Security Management / Risk Management / Business Administration
First Aid and Firefighting Certification
Incident Command System (ICS) training
