Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:
Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
PSIRA certification - Grade A
Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position for at least 5 years
Knowledge of methods and techniques of risk management, business impact analysis and counter measures
Knowledge of tools and systems which provide access security control
Must have confidence in dealing with public
Bilingual (English and any other South African language)
First aid and firefighting will be advantageous
Excellent written & verbal communication
Computer literate and knowledge of MS office
The ability to communicate and present to all levels and work pressure
Must be willing to undergo a polygraph test
Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record
Valid driver's license & own reliable transport
A valid Limpopo Gambling Board license.
Competence as an Incident Investigator.
Sound knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) principles.
Proven knowledge and experience in security and surveillance systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and incident management software.
Leadership and management skills to effectively hire, train, schedule, supervise, and motivate a security team.
Regulatory knowledge of all relevant gaming laws, internal controls, and compliance requirements to ensure operational integrity.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations such as disputes or emergencies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective engagement with guests, staff, senior management, and law enforcement, as well as for accurate inciden
reporting.
High levels of integrity and discretion to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Keen attention to detail to identify suspicious behavior and potential security risks.
Willingness and ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and events.
The ability to operate effectively within a busy casino environment characterized by loud noises, flashing lights, and exposure to secondhand smoke.
