BUSINESS MANAGER

Job purpose:

The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance and outcomes of the operational team while ensuring the overall success of the service station. This role involves monitoring operations, assessing efficiency, ensuring departmental targets are met, and upholding brand standards.

Background:

The Business Manager's focus is further to be accountable for enhancing business operations, maintaining a competitive edge, and driving short- and medium-term profitable growth while proactively managing risks. This position is based in Durban at our Fuel Service Station. (Refer to

Annexure A

attached for core outputs of this role)

Requirements:

South African Citizen

Living in Durban or willing to relocate at own cost

Code 8 Drivers License

Own Vehicle and willing to travel

Previous employment at Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, OK, or Checkers will be advantageous

Freshstop or Food Lovers Market experience will be preferred

Must be able to interpret and discuss financial statements and site figures

Solid labour relations knowledge and skills (Warnings, Investigations, Disciplinary hearings, union relationship management)

Willing to work extra hours to get the job done with no additional overtime remuneration

Self-starter with proven high levels of initiative

High emotional intelligence
