We are looking for a hands-on electrician with a couple of years' practical experience who wants to apply their skills in agriculture and technology. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working on-site, and being part of a growing company making an impact in climate-smart farming.
As part of our Technical Team, you will primarily focus on the installation of greenhouse automation systems, with secondary responsibilities for maintaining existing systems and supporting the workshop in preparing equipment for new projects.

What You'll Be Doing
Install new greenhouse automation systems on customer sites
Test and prepare equipment before it leaves the workshop
Maintain and support existing systems for customers
Assist with in-house assembly, procurement, and testing when needed
Ensure site tools and spares are properly checked and maintained
Act as a point of contact for customers during installations and support
Keep accurate maintenance reports and documentation
Travel locally and occasionally internationally for installations and support
What We're Looking For
Experience
2+ year as a qualified electrician OR 3+ years in an electrical, FMCG, or related sector
Knowledge of motors, gearboxes, pumps, and fans
Proven ability to follow safety guidelines and work responsibly on-site
Customer-facing experience and ability to represent the company professionally
Education, Training & Competencies
Electrician or Millwright trade certificate (essential)
Good IT literacy (MS Office, spreadsheets, documentation)
Solid understanding of electrical circuits: 3-phase, high voltage AC (400V/230V), low voltage AC/DC (24V)
Advantageous Skills (not required but a plus):
Basic knowledge of communication protocols such as LoRa & Modbus
Exposure to PLC & SCADA systems
Basic mechanical assembly and/or AutoCAD
Skills, Characteristics & Abilities
Strong customer service focus and good communication skills (verbal & written)
Valid driver's licence and passport, based in Cape Town with own transport
Willingness to travel locally & internationally as needed
Physically able to lift up to 30 kg and work at heights
Ability to work independently and in teams under pressure to meet deadlines
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving ability
A clean criminal record
