We are seeking a committed Christian with a sound foundation in the Bible to serve as Site Coordinator at our Community Centre in Diepsloot. This role is deeply rooted in both ministry and development. The successful candidate will lead with spiritual maturity and practical wisdom, helping to establish the centre as a place of consistent Gospel witness, learning, care, and community upliftment.
The Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations and long-term growth of the site, working to make it a sustainable and impactful space that honours God and serves the people of Diepsloot.
This role is offered on a 6-month contract basis, with opportunity for renewal based on performance and available funding. It is ideally suited to a motivated individual from the Diepsloot area who is passionate about both Gospel ministry and community development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Oversight: General management of the Centre's operations and physical environment
- Programme Development: Support the rollout of a Skills Development Programme, including leather product making as an income-generating and grant-ready activity
- Afterschool Support: Oversee the afterschool programme for 30-60 learners, especially those learning English
- Sharing the Gospel: Be confident and willing to share the Gospel with large groups of children, and lead or facilitate small group (life group) Bible discussions
- Feeding Programme: Oversee the daily and weekend feeding of children at the centre (100 daily, 200-500 on weekends)
- Financial Stewardship: Ensure that funds are used appropriately and transparently at the centre, and liaise with Foundation management on disbursements
- Digital Administration: Use basic digital skills to assist in the creation of marketing materials, basic proposals, and reporting
- Caretaking: Live onsite and help maintain the security and cleanliness of the centre
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Community Liaison Officer and report to the Project Managers and Outreach Head
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma-level qualification (preferred)
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Confidence using basic digital tools (email, documents, templates)
- Deep understanding of the local Diepsloot context
- A personal commitment to Christian faith, with a sound foundation in the Bible
- Confidence in sharing the Gospel in both large group and small group settings
- Willingness to live onsite at the Centre (accommodation provided)
- Clear criminal record
- Driver's licence preferred
- Proficiency in English, Sotho, and Zulu
Contract Duration:
- 6-month contract, with potential for renewal
- Anticipated Start Date: 11 August 2025
