We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in Sandton, Gauteng
Role: Site Agent
Industry: Road Construction (Asphalt and Seal)
Level: Senior Professional
Key Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate with a Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering.
10 years' work experience in Road Construction, with specific experience in Road Projects being essential.
Professionally Registered with ECSA / SACPCMP is a prerequisite.
Computer literate with excellent analytical skills.
Valid driver's license and own transport.
Must be a South African citizen.
Personal Attributes:
A highly skilled professional capable of managing Occupational Health and Safety in conjunction with the Construction Health and Safety Officer.
Demonstrates a strong focus on contract profitability, ensuring timely submission of monthly payment applications and effective finalization of contracts and short-term programmes.
Proactive in monitoring work progress against the programme and initiating corrective action when targets are not met.
Possesses excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with General Foreman, Foreman, and Contract Manager regarding production requirements.
Adept at managing, supervising, and inspecting contractors' work on site, including explaining structural drawings and mitigating delays due to errors or omissions.
Committed to thorough application of all contractual obligations and upholding company and group policies and procedures.
Diligent in ensuring the compilation and implementation of the Quality File, and adherence to all Health and Safety Legislation and site rules.
Proficient in detecting and analysing non-conformances, communicating them, and initiating corrective action.
Committed to safety, including the inspection of PPE, implementation of method statements, and assisting in carrying out risk assessments.
