The Site Agent is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating all on-site activities for construction projects. The role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily site operations and manage construction teams.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Interpret project drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
Monitor progress and ensure project milestones are achieved.
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and labourers on site.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
Prepare and submit site progress reports to management.
Manage site resources effectively, including plant, equipment, and materials.
Ensure cost control and efficient allocation of resources.
Handle problem-solving and resolve issues that may delay project timelines.
Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a Site Agent in civil or building projects.
Sound knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and project management principles.
Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Free State.
