Job Description
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering and must be ECSA registered
- SACHPCMP registration advantageous
- At least 5 years experience as a site agent within the roads / road routine maintenance construction industry, especially in the construction of roads and earthworks
- Valid drivers, own car preferred
- Must be a SA citizen
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and able to read/understand/organize plans and specifications
- Working knowledge of estimating / planning modules. OHS Act, Construction Regulations
- Good working knowledge of conditions if contract specifications (eg. FIDIC, GCC, NEC)
- An equity candidate would be preferred
- Ensure SOPs are adhered to and client requirements are taken into account
- Set / maintain production targets and operate within budgets
- Prepare long term project schedules
- Foster relationships and manage material procurement and controls
- Successfully manage multiple contracts and inspire high levels of production
- Manage site teams and identification and allocation of resources
- Ensure SHE compliance
