SILO MANAGER


EXCELSIOR, HIBERNIA, DELAREYVILLE

Purpose of the position:
The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the relevant silo.


Key responsibilities:

• Managing the intake and dispatch of all grain, which could include the drying of

grain;

• Stock control of operating stock and equipment;
• Managing, controlling and training of personnel;
• Managing and controlling storage facilities, which includes the optimal utilisation

thereof;

• Thorough control of administrative functions;
• Operating a computerised mainframe administrative system; and
• Execution of instructions and policies regarding the following:

• Occupational safety
• Risk management
• Internal control systems; and
• Client satisfaction.
  

Required qualifications and skills:
xe2x80xa2 Grade 12 certificate
xe2x80xa2 Five (5) yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience
xe2x80xa2 Candidates must have completed courses in the following:

• Maize, wheat and sunflower grading

- Silo management
- Fumigation

• A valid driver's license.

xe2x80xa2 Detail-oriented.
xe2x80xa2 Responsible and reliable.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to take initiative and lead a team effectively.
xe2x80xa2 Good communication abilities.

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Bestuur van die inname en versending van alle graan, wat die droging van

graan kan insluit;

• Voorraadbeheer van bedryfsvoorraad en toerusting;

• Bestuur, beheer en opleiding van personeel;

• Bestuur en beheer van bergingsfasiliteite, wat die optimale benutting daarvan

insluit;

• Deeglike beheer van administratiewe funksies;

• Bedryf van 'n gerekenariseerde hoofraam administratiewe stelsel; en

• Uitvoering van instruksies en beleide rakende die volgende:

• Beroepsveiligheid

• Risikobestuur

• Interne beheerstelsels; en

• Klantetevredenheid.
  

Vereiste kwalifikasies en vaardighede:

• Graad 12-sertifikaat

• Vyf (5) jaar se relevante ondervinding

• Kandidate moes kursusse in die volgende velde voltooi het:

• Gradering van mielies, koring en sonneblom

• Silobestuur

• Beroking
