Description
Responsible for the correct use and safe operation of equipment in the silo. The silo operator has to ensure that the flow of grain to and from silo bins is done in a safe and correct manner according to operational instructions
Requirements
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Grade 12
- 3 years experience in grain handling and storage
- Safe handling and storage of grain
- Intake and dispatch of grain at silo
- Housekeeping
- Food safety
- Understanding sampling procedure
- Quality control principles and procedures
- Knowledge of operating equipment
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Good reading and writing skills
- Disciplined
- Punctual
- Energy and hardworking
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Integrity
