Job Description
Responsible for the correct use and safe operation of equipment in the silo. The silo operator has to ensure that the flow of grain to and from silo bins is done in a safe and correct manner according to operational instructions
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
Grade 12
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
3 years experience in grain handling and storage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Safe handling and storage of grain
Intake and dispatch of grain at silo
Housekeeping
Food safety
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES
Understanding sampling procedure
Quality control principles and procedures
Knowledge of operating equipment
Verbal and written communication skills
Good reading and writing skills
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
