The Driver is responsible for the daily operation of the company shuttle service between Seriti Green's Head Office in Illovo, Sandton and the company's office in Behtal, Mpumalanga. The role also includes transporting employees, clients, and stakeholders to and from airports and other venues, managing company fleet maintenance, and ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy, clean, and compliant with legal and company policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Transport & Shuttle Services
Operate the daily shuttle service between Illovo Head Office and Mpumalanga Office (Monday to Friday).
The normal time of operation will be departure at 6am from Illovo and returning 5pm, departing Bethal at 3pm.
Collect and drop off employees, clients, and stakeholders from airports or other designated locations as required.
Drive to alternate venues or company locations as per business needs.
Fleet Management
Ensure all company vehicles are maintained in good working order.
Schedule and track regular vehicle servicing and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Ensure vehicle licensing, registrations, and roadworthy certificates are current and compliant.
Keep all company vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for operational use.
Record vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs accurately.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere strictly to all road traffic laws and company driving policies.
Ensure safe transport of passengers and goods at all times.
Follow Seriti Green's safety and journey management procedures, including completing and updating relevant logs.
Report incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the Office Manager or relevant stakeholders.
Professional Conduct & Communication
Interact courteously and professionally with all passengers and clients.
Communicate clearly regarding travel schedules, delays, or changes in route.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality when transporting company stakeholders or handling goods.
Education & Experience
Minimum of Grade 10 (Matric/Grade 12 preferred).
Valid South African driver's licence (Code 8 or higher).
Minimum 5 years' experience as a professional driver in a corporate or logistics environment.
Professional Driving Permit (PDP) - must be current and valid
Clear criminal record
Experience operating a shuttle or transporting groups long distances is an advantage.
Sound knowledge of Gauteng and Mpumalanga routes, including alternative routes.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety protocols.
Familiarity with fleet recordkeeping, logbooks, and journey management protocols.
