Manage, grow, and retain a profitable portfolio with key insurers
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with insurer partners and internal stakeholders
Monitor portfolio performance closely, analyse trends, and implement targeted action plans to optimise growth, profitability, loss ratios, and retention
Prepare, interpret, and manage financial and performance reports, ensuring accurate data for forecasting, decision-making, and strategic planning
Proactively identify risks or negative trends within the portfolio and recommend corrective actions
Oversee underwriting policies and claims processes in collaboration with insurer partners
Ensure smooth monthly operational cycles including reconciliations, payments, bordereaux, and regulatory reporting
Support, mentor, and develop the service advisor team, promoting a culture of accountability, performance, and service excellence
Participate in planning sessions, insurer strategy meetings, and product improvement initiatives
Identify operational gaps and work with internal systems teams to improve workflow efficiency and reporting accuracy
Mentor and support the claims and underwriting consultants to ensure alignment with portfolio objectives
What You Bring
5+ years experience in short-term insurance portfolio or account management
Higher Certificate in Short-term Insurance (NQF 5)
Strong analytical, financial, and reporting skills
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation ability
Proven communication skills in Afrikaans and English
Knowledge in insurance systems
Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or Insurance (advantageous)
