Shop Supervisor - The Kingdom Resort Pilanesberg - North West - South Africa
Responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the on-site kiosk and activity desk, ensuring alignment with resort policies, procedures, and brand standards for service quality, guest satisfaction, and health and safety.
Provides operational support and assistance to the Resort Manager as needed.
Works proactively to minimize losses and expenses while maximizing retail sales performance.
Additionally, responsible for maintaining accurate records and generating periodic control reports to support effective inventory management.
Key Performance Areas:

• Daily operation of on-site Convenience Store.
• Assist guests with purchases and with any queries they may have relating to the activities, prices and stock items
• Providing customers with the information and assistance relative to the resort and the facilities as well as general information about local attractions and places of interest
• Make necessary bookings for all activities and book allocated time slots on the resort operating system
• Provide operational support & assistance to the Shop Manager.
• Duties will include promotion of retail sales, cashiering, handling of payments, operation of P.O.S. system, general shop administration and daily reports.
• Stock control including receiving, packing of shelves, stock rotation, stocktaking and preparation of orders.
• Report on daily income figure on social media platforms as required
• Preparation of monthly reports and shift rosters
• Correct, safe & secure handling of all takings - cash or other
• Compile and manage shift roster for staff
• Be responsible for daily cash ups, banking, invoices, etc.
• Cleaning of shop facility and maintenance of good housekeeping.
• Hire and control of sports equipment

Position Requirements:

• Matric
• Computer literacy
• Previous retail/shop supervisor experience
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (Especially verbal)
• Ability to handle difficult guests
• Numerical proficiency essential as well as attention to detail and accuracy
