Job Description
We're ramping up production for a new project in Somerset West and need a hands-on
Lead Carpenter / Steelwork Fabricator or Sub-contractor / Small Crew
tofabricate custom timber shelving, mild-steel display frames and install on site
.Key responsibilities
Manufacture veneered cabinets and displays from shop drawings. Fabricate & powder-coat mild-steel rails, uprights and display units. Pre-assemble units and spray finishes Deliver, rig and fix units.
Minimum requirements
Recognised
Trade Test (Carpenter / Joiner)
or
Boilermaker / Steel Fabricator
5 + years
bespoke shop-fitting experience (joineryand
light-steel) Access to Spray-booth Own panel van or 1-ton bakkie, tools and workshop (or access to) Proven track record on high-end retail projects Ability to work to deadlinesWhat we offer
One-off fixed-price contract fee or fixed salary. Potential pipeline of stores in Cape Town after successful completion Prompt payment, collaborative design team, opportunity to become preferred fabricator
