This position will require overseeing the daily functions of the shipping department including but not limited to overseeing office personnel, forklift drivers, stackers, and the proper staging of customer deliveries for shipment. The Shipping & Warehouse Manager should implement all company standard operating procedures and any company processes put into place and ensure that company SOPxe2x80x99s are followed by all personnel within the warehouse. This position will be required to meet budgetary guidelines established for the Warehouse, and ensure all company costs are controlled, and budgeted goals are implemented and achieved.Job Type: Full TimeResponsibilities:xc2xb7 Responsible for maintaining budgetary guidelines for the Shipping department and warehouse personnel.xc2xb7 Will be required to hold regular scheduled meetings with all departments to evaluate performance levels and discuss ideas and needs.xc2xb7 Will establish a level of acceptable performance for personnel and mentor to exceed daily expectations.xc2xb7 Works closely with Commodity Management, our client, and Client Services to coordinate inbound and outbound orders.xc2xb7 Will be responsible for the scheduling and training of all personnel involved in the daily movement of product both inbound and outbound.xc2xb7 Will be responsible for the coordination of loads, fulfilment rates, inventory and receiving.xc2xb7 Will work closely with the Quality Control department to ensure all procedures are followed and recorded.xc2xb7 Will work closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external third-party audits are performed on a regular basis.xc2xb7 Will be responsible for cross training of personnel.xc2xb7 Review Ship List and Receiving list for daily outbound and inbound shipments.xc2xb7 Review Ship List for inventory shortages.xc2xb7 Prepare orders for staging and or shipping using Famous.xc2xb7 Communicates with Commodity Management and Client Service Managers on any specific details about orders.xc2xb7 Communicate with necessary departments on inventory in OA and its correct allocation, while also remaining aware of the OA system and aiding in its management.xc2xb7 Communicate with Logistic Manager throughout the day with respect to inbound deliveries and outbound shipments.xc2xb7 Correct inventory related issues in maintain accurate inventory through the OA system.xc2xb7 Oversees daily duties of the forklift operators and dock workers.xc2xb7 Responsible for accurate, receiving tickets and driver check in/out sheets.xc2xb7 Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility and the surrounding grounds.xc2xb7 Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Occupational Safety Procedure and all Food Safety guidelines related to the position or being on the Warehouse floor.xc2xb7 Follow compliance with OHSA standards.Experience:xc2xb7 5+ years of experience in compliance and/or safety certifications and training/ degree in Supply Chain and logistic or relavant.xc2xb7 Analytical skills and problem-solving capabilitiesxc2xb7 Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointxc2xb7 Demonstrated ability to lead and manage personnelxc2xb7 Excellent oral and written communication skillsxc2xb7 Ability to learn and understand transportation software systems and technologiesxc2xb7 Knowledge of all DOT, state, and Safety requirements, policies, and proceduresxc2xb7 Participate in various workshops and educational programs to maintain knowledge on all industry regulations and rulesSalary Range: R30 000 to 45 000Location : Durban, KwaZulu-NatalJob Type: Full-timeSalary: R30 000,00 - R45 000,00 per monthAbility to Commute:Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (Required)Ability to Relocate:Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Relocate before starting work (Required)
