Job Description

Shipping Administrator (4-Month Contract)
Department: Purchasing (Shipping and Imports)
Job Purpose:
Support ordering, coordination, and costing of imports from foreign suppliers.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Shipping/Customs Certificate
  • 23 years'' experience in a similar shipping/admin role
Main Responsibilities:
  • Process and place approved orders with foreign suppliers
  • Manage orders and shipping files using ERP and SharePoint
  • Receive, validate, and file shipping documentation and invoices
  • Monitor and update shipment status; follow up on deliveries
  • Process clearing and forwarding documentation
  • Track and update payment schedules and Forward Exchange Contracts (FEC)
  • Assist with month-end procedures, reporting, and customs audits
  • Calculate and document landed costs for each shipment
  • Handle any shipping queries and provide admin support as needed
