Shift Supervisor (Grade 9)
Facilities and Infrastructure: Campus Protection Unit
The Campus Protection Unit invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives
To provide a 24-hour security service to guard university property and assets and to satisfy the needs of staff, students, and parents, to provide a safe and secure environment for academic studies and activities. In addition, manage a 24-hour Security Control Room and Help Desk on campus.
The Requirements
Grade 12 with 3 years' relevant experience, and registration as a security officer Grade B in terms of the Security Industry Regulations Act no 56 of 2001, with no previous Schedule criminal convictions. New entrants must produce a current Police Clearance Certificate.
Relevant experience includes: -

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a supervisory or team leader position.
• Be in possession of a Supervision Certificate.
• Previous experience in security and working within the regulations laid down by the Security Industry Regulations Act No. 56 of 2001.
• Experience in taking statements and writing reports.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Previous University and/or College Campus experience will be an advantage.

• The selection process that will be followed for this post will include an assessment and/or presentation and an interview.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 09):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R307 301
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R421 844
