MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric certificate/ equivalent
Valid blasting Certificate
Onsetter Certificate
Holder of shift Supervisor/ Foreman Certificate
MS Office Proficiency
Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and reliable own transport
Medically fit
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Sinking and Underground construction project
3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as Shift Foreman and at least 2 years as a Sinker
Management and Coordination of daily sinking operations.
Daily and monthly progress reporting
Knowledge of Shaft Sinking, and Health & Safety standards and regulations is essential.
Knowledge and previous experience in concrete lining, cover drilling, cementation, pipe installation and shaft equipping.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise the production staff
Monitoring and controlling the production process by allocating and managing resources to attain the production targets
Ensure tools and equipment are sufficient, in good condition and safe to use
Be responsible for subordinates, maintenance schedule, Health and Safety in area of responsibility
Ensure availability of spares and materials and enforce good housekeeping
