Job Summary An opportunity for two experienced SHIFT ELECTRICIANS (x2) are required for permanent employment based in Cape Town. o These roles are ideally suited for candidates with strong steel-industry electrical backgrounds, particularly those with exposure to high-load, high-temperature continuous production environments such as ArcelorMittal, Scaw Metals, Cape Gate, Highveld Steel, and similar facilities. o The Shift Electricians will be responsible for ensuring continuous plant electrical reliability by performing breakdown response, planned maintenance, safety inspections, fault finding, and equipment optimisation on all major electrical systems across the operation. o Interested applications are requested to submit their updated CV's (in Word.doc format) via email using Ref # 2415 o Min 5 years' experience in the steel industry (furnaces, melt shop, rolling mills, cranes, heavy equipment). o Exposure to high-voltage electrical systems, heavy automation equipment, and industrial safety protocols. o Hands-on experience working on: o electric motors o soft starters o variable speed drives (VSDs) o PLC-controlled equipment o overhead cranes & lifting equipment o industrial panels and MCCs o Red Seal Trade Test (Electrician) - essential
