Our client is looking for a SHEQ Officer to provide administrative support to the SHER Manager and contribute to the achievement of SHE and quality objectives. This role involves assisting with the implementation of SHEQ system requirements.
Responsibilities:

• Support the administration of the SHEQ program.

• Upload, review, update, and maintain various SHEQ documents to ensure accuracy.

• Organize and maintain a comprehensive filing system for SHEQ documents in line with applicable legislation and standards.

• Schedule and coordinate SHEQ meetings, including recording meeting minutes.

• Manage the SHEQ Skills Matrix, ensuring licenses and certificates are valid.

• Compile Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and data books for the Quality department.

• Assist the field service department with preparing technician files for access to mining sites.

• Review contractor files for compliance and escalate non-compliance to the SHER Manager.

• Consolidate findings from SHE committee meetings, Occupational Hygiene surveys, and internal audits.

• Close Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) on SHEQX.

• Ensure adherence to SHEQ Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.

• Assist with Incident on Duty (IOD) and near-miss investigations.

• Conduct SHEQ inductions for new employees.

• Maintain records of statutory inspections and certifications.

• Create SPRs in AX for all SHEQ department purchases.

• Participate in ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO9001 internal and external audits.

• Ensure the SHE Legal Structure is current and accurate.

• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Diploma in Safety Management/ND in Environmental Health

• Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

• Understanding of ISO 145001, 9001 and 14001.

• Internal Auditor Training Certificate for all 3 ISO systems

• 4 years' experience in a similar capacity
