Johannesburg SHEQ OFFICER GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SPARTAN

We currently have a vacancy for the above position and wish to invite suitably qualified applicants to submit their details for our consideration. This hands-on position, reporting to the Production Manager, provides an ideal opportunity for a dynamic incumbent to implement, drive and administer and quality assurance standards, procedures, processes, and controls.

KEY RESULT AREAS:



Managing Compliance, Hygiene, Health & Safety, Employment Equity, COVID, Employee Wellness, Canteen and other staff facilities.

Effectively manage the Waste and environmental systems.

Maintaining, interpreting, developing, and implementing QA processes, procedures, systems and controls within the operation as well as for materials received from suppliers (these have to conform to H&S standards, SABS and other Industry.

Control & reporting of NCR's and label deviations within the COQ framework

Liaise with internal departments regarding the appropriate corrective & preventive actions required

Keeping up to date with current Good Manufacturing Practices advising management of any new and revised regulations.

Ensuring the application of change management processes, inclusive of traceability and systems updating.

Carrying out Supplier management approval audits.

Ensuring proper document control and record keeping of all audits (internal and by external) filing and detailing of all corrective action.

Ensuring that all food safety registration certificates, records and relevant documents are current, filed and displayed as prescribed.

Assist with the development of quality procedures & processes

Ensuring the application of review processes when new products or changes are made to existing products to maintain Food Safety Management System performance and compliance to relevant governance.

Maintain Health and Safety at the workplace. Understanding of then OSHACT and requirements.

Segregate non-conforming products from conforming products and sign off products at the manufacturing stage on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:



To qualify for the position, the applicants must meet the following criteria

Suitable tertiary qualification in Quality Management;

Subject matter expert in ISO 9001:2015 & 22000, FSC and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Lead Internal Audits, Mentor and Coach.

Minimum of 5 years' experience together with evidence of sustainable implementation/management and applicable SANS codes, ISO 9001 QMS and related company and best practice guidelines and corporate governance.

Experience in development and maintenance of QMS

Understanding of basic technical information related to self -adhesive labelling concepts & materials.

Must be an enthusiastic team player and be results-driven.

A methodical approach to work and the ability to continuously pay exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent Planning and Organizing Skills with Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ability to work according to strict deadlines on a continuous basis with accuracy and speed;

Excellent training and coaching skills with impeccable communication and report writing skills.

Good negotiation skills with a customer-oriented attitude

Highly presentable and professional with good interpersonal skills;
