Key ResponsibilitiesSupervises the day to day operations of the Environmental Health and Safety units. Ensures the operation is effective and efficient. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates Environmental Health & Safety programs to ensure safe operating and working environments. Oversees and reviews policies to ensure compliance with established standards. Selects, supervises, trains, and motivates staff. Develops, implements and maintains accident statistical bases for internal and external reporting. Prepares and presents a variety of reports, communications, and other documents. Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and ExperienceTypically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8 or more years of relevant experience.


Knowledge and SkillsSolid knowledge of relevant safety regulations. Good administration, planning and organization skills. Takes an analytical approach to complex issues and problem solving. Demonstrated ability to train and coach colleagues. Solid interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Ability to analyze data pertaining to program functions and interpret other management information.
