Job Summary

Hire Resolve's mining client is seeking a talented SHEQ Manager to join their team in Burgersfort, Limpopo. The ideal candidate will be able to oversee the safety, health, environment and quality policies and regulations within the mining and metals industry while ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain all SHEQ policies, systems and procedures in accordance with legislative and industry standards.
• Provide guidance and direction to site management regarding SHEQ policies and procedures, ensuring compliance is adhered to and maintained by all employees on site.
• Identify and evaluate risks associated with SHEQ hazards and implement corrective action measures.
• Conduct SHEQ audits to assess non-compliance issues.
• Monitor and report on SHEQ performance through leading and lagging indicators.
• Ensure SHEQ training is provided where required and monitor SHEQ performance through leading and lagging indicators.
• Evaluate and analyse SHEQ data and reports, prepare presentations for management, and recommend necessary changes or corrective actions.

Requirements

• Degree/Ndip in Safety Management
• Matric
• SAMTRAC + Risk management certificate
• ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Implementation, NEHBOSH, ICAM
• Familiar with the COID, ODIMWA and OHSA legislations
• 8 + years relevant experience in the mining industry
