Job Description

Matric is essential
Suitable tertiary qualification in Quality Management ( Quality Assurance is preferred)
Subject matter expert in ISO 9001:2015 & 22000, FSC and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Experience must include either food, fmcg, pharmaceutical, packaging or chemical engineering industries experience.
Experience with raw materials is essential
Lead Auditor, Mentor and Coach
Minimum of 5 years experience together with evidence of sustainable implementation/management of the ISO 9001 QMS, related company requirements and Quality Assurance testing processes and procedures
Experience in unionised environment is essentail
Staff management skills are required
Excellent training and coaching skills with impeccable
communication and report writing skills
Customer oriented attitude
Highly presentable and professional with good interpersonal skills
A valid drivers licence with reliable own transport
Hands on experience in an ISO accredited manufacturing concern
Managing Quality Assurance, Hygiene, Health & Safety, Employment Equity, COVID, Employee Wellness, Canteen and other staff facilities
Effectively manage the Waste and environmental systems
Maintaining, interpreting, developing and implementing QA processes, procedures, systems and controls within the operation as well as for materials received from suppliers (these have to conform to H&S standards, SABS and other Industry
Manage Food Safety Management systems that meet the requirements of FSSC 22000 and implementing that for both internal and external parties
Managing service providers Security, Pest Control, CCTV, Garden services, Recyclers, Laundry and Safety equipment providers
Keeping up-to-date with current Good Manufacturing Practices advising management of any new and revised regulations

Must be an enthusiastic team player and be results-driven
A methodical approach to work and the ability to continuously pay exceptional attention to detail
Excellent Planning and Organizing Skills with Good analytical and problem-solving skills
The ability to work according to strict deadlines on a continuous basis with accuracy and speed
