Job Description
Requirements:
- Matric with Science and Mathematics.
- SAMTRAC Certificate or equivalent occupational Health and Safety training.
- National Diploma Health & Safety Management
- Registered as a Professional Construction Health & Safety Officer under SACPCMP (Advantage)
- Environmental & Quality qualification an (Advantage)
- Management qualification would be desirable.
- Minimum 3 years Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Experience
- Minimum 5 years Chemical Manufacturing Environment.
- Minimum 3 years in a management role
- Minimum 2 years in Process Safety Management (all 3 modules)
- MS Office
- Process Safety Management, ISO auditing, Root Cause Analysis
- Environmental Act (ISO 14001)
- Quality Standard (ISO 9001)
- Leads, develops, and manages the functioning of the management systems within the site production function
- Prepare for and participate in both internal and external audits
- Advice line management of any changes to the standards and incorporates them into daily functioning of the business
- Works in conjunction with line management to address any raw material deviation to ensure smooth operation of the production plants.
- Participates in cost control activities on site that affect the overall profits of the business
- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
