Role purpose: To coordinate common SHE matters. To communicate and assist with the implementation of HEINEKEN Global guidelines such as safety & health rules, standard and procedures and local legislation.

Key Responibilities:

• Coach employees and contractors on SHE standards and procedures.
• Conduct frequent plant walkabouts and engage employees on SHE issues.
• Conduct Health & Safety risk assessment and Environmental Aspects & Impacts register.
• Work with department managers to ensure up to date risk assessments and aspects and impacts register is in place.
• Put a procedure in place for the continuous identification of hazards, unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
• Put measures in place to address all hazards, unsafe conditions and acts.
• Maintain updated risk assessments and aspects & impacts register on SharePoint.
• Organise SHE related training for all relevant staff.
• Update SHE procedures.
• Develop a system to enforce adherence to SHE legal requirements.
• Create awareness and compliance to HEINEKEN Global standards.
• Plan and conduct SHE internal audits to ensure compliance of the system.
• Play a key role in contractor management process.
• Develop training modules and manuals in compliance with SHE management standards.
• Identify and work with the training department to plan the required SHE training for employees.
• Monitor the SHE plan to ensure that all deliverables are in accordance with the plan.
• Participate in incident investigations, record keeping and data analysis.
• Drive SHE improvement initiatives for the Brewery.
• Participate in emergency evacuation, evacuation drills and compiling of reports and follow up on action plans.
• Participate in and coordinate activities of Safety reps, Fire fighters, First aiders, Environmental reps and safety committee meetings.
• Participate in TPM Safety and Utilities Pillars activities.
• Create and maintain awareness on SHE matters, using Safety Alerts and various meetings.

General:

• Liaise with SHE suppliers and service providers.
• Raise SHE PR's on SAP

Manage and procure correct PPE for staff.

Qualification:

• Safety Management Diploma or NQF Level 6 ( not N 6)

Experience:

• 3 - 6 years of experience in a similar role
