Overview
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced SharePoint Architect to lead a hybrid engagement spanning both project-based delivery and managed support services. Acting as the architectural and technical lead, you'll oversee a small, skilled team of 3-5 developers and collaborate closely with a Senior Project Manager to design, implement, and enhance enterprise-grade SharePoint and Power Platform solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing architecture, delivery, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement to drive strategic value across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Development & Architecture
Architect and implement scalable SharePoint solutions using Out-of-the-Box features, SPFx, and (optionally) Power Platform components.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to developers in SharePoint and Power Platform technologies.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
Team Leadership
Manage and guide a team of 3-5 developers, ensuring on-time delivery and quality outputs.
Conduct code reviews, sprint planning, and technical workshops.
Partner with the Project Manager to manage timelines, risks, and resource allocation.
Customer Engagement
Serve as the primary technical contact for clients and stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into practical, innovative technical solutions.
Present architectural designs, progress updates, and roadmaps to both technical and business audiences.
Platform Enhancement
Champion continuous improvement of SharePoint environments.
Engage with business units to identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and collaboration enhancement.
Monitor platform performance, recommending and implementing improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 6 years' experience as a SharePoint Architect or Senior SharePoint Developer in enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
Intermediate expertise in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
Proven experience leading development teams and managing end-to-end technical delivery.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Experience with JIRA an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft certifications in SharePoint, Power Platform, or related Microsoft 365 technologies.
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with Azure services and integration patterns.
