Job Description
A great mining company in Pretoria, Gauteng is seeking the expertise of a Shaft Mine Overseer to join their team of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Actively engage in and demonstrate Visible Felt Leadership aligned to operational SHE standards, operational campaigns and instructions Schedule and conduct regular operational safety, safe work practice and operational delivery inspections ensuring appropriate remediation interventions are executed
- Maintain effective people management practices by ensuring that team roles and competencies are clearly defined and that effective team delivery is maintained
- Coach and guide Front Line Leaders (FLL) to assume and maintain effective and direct leadership accountability over their operational teams in respect of safety management, shift planning, work assignment, planned task observations, etc. and executing remedial measures as required
- Participate in and lead the formulation, adjustment, execution and active monitoring of all operational plans and schedules in relation to daily personnel, material and ore conveyancing, clearing of ore pass obstructions, horizonal conveyances management, large hard rock mining operations
- Grade 12
- Diploma / Degree in Mining Engineering
- Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency
- 7 - 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a deep level shaft mining environment
- Minimum 3 years at Mine Overseer level
- Salary: R1.5M/yr - R1.7M/yr, negotiable
