Our client, a leader in Audio and AV Integration, based in Port Elizabeth, is looking to employ an experienced Service Technician.

Technical experience in any of the following area's will be beneficial : Access Control, Fire Detection Systems, CCTV Systems, Intruder Alarm Systems, or Voice Evacuation Systems.

Requirements:

• Must have previous Service Technician experience.
• Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ideally experience in resolving faults on electronic / security systems. (Access Control, Fire Detection Systems, CCTV Systems, Intruder Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation Systems).

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

• Carry out instructions issued by the Project Director.
• Install and connect cable, services, and equipment as per instructions issued by the Project Director.
• Resolve field issues and challenges on an ongoing basis as needed.
• Take responsibility for company tools and equipment and report shortcomings to the Project Director.
• Workshop to be always kept clean and tidy.
• Workshop tool cabinet to be maintained and organized.
• All company power and specialized tools to be kept in your control and signed in and out as needed by the Service Manager.
• Inspections on all company ladders, tool kits and electronic equipment and leads to be done on the last Friday of each month.
• Manage the equipment as per the master tool register.
• Recall all signed out equipment by the last Friday of each month for an inspection.
• Report to the Project Director on any missing or damaged equipment and facilitate the repair of such equipment once approved by the Project Director.
