• Leading a Team of Service Assurance technicians to enforce quality controls , in line caterpillar repair standards

• Achievement quality turnaround targets.

• Resolve internal customer queries.

• Effective control of cost centre expenses and WIP

• Ensure effective communication between team and management.

• Ensure service work (Caterpillar components) is carried out in compliance with quality standards (OEM Guidelines).

• Apply warranty policies and procedures; this includes warranty decisions and service warranty investigations.

• Ensure outputs of service audits are achieved.

• Apply Barloworld Equipment leadership philosophy.

• Achievement of a team environment that enables adherence to quality standard and process efficiency standards

(Performance management of team).

• Competency development of team.

• On the job supervision - safety of team.

• Reporting of team Key Performance Indicators and prospects.

• driving QFR action and closure end to end process

• Quality gates management within technical processes

• Non-conformance management - regions and internal

• Checklist ownership and management

• Take ownership and manage all 2.6.1 appointment responsibilities.

• Management of ICRF workshop in terms of SHEQ requirements

• Ensure CC/SOR compliance.

• Grade12

• Trade Test qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Minimum of 6 years' experience as Caterpillar Genera Mechanic post apprenticeship or learner ship experience.

• Minimum off 4 years Caterpillar Component rebuild experience with substantial troubleshooting exposure (post Qualification)

• Well familiar with failure analysis and re-useability guidelines on components

• Experienced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on Earthmoving Equipment Components.

• Well imbedded Component specific technical knowledge and skills.

• Familiar with Dyno and Hydraulic testbench operation and troubleshooting.

• Sound interpersonal and communication skills.

• Good technical report writing skills.

• Basic business and financial understanding.

• Computer literate and good business writing knowledge.

• Good and experiences on Caterpillar machine and product knowledge.

• Valid Driver's License
