Job Summary ? Lodge-Based Role: Service Supervisor - Exclusive Restaurant ? Location: Private Game Reserve, Kalahari, Northern Cape ? Salary: R15,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience) ? Accommodation / Meals: Live-in (accommodation and meals provided) ? Start Date: URGENT Position Overview A prestigious property is seeking a Service Supervisor for its fine dining restaurant, a high-end culinary venue recognised for exceptional service, cuisine and atmosphere. The role requires someone who thrives in elevated hospitality environments, commands respect on the floor, leads with integrity and delivers memorable guest service with finesse. Key Responsibilities Supervise all front-of-house service activities during restaurant operations: fine-dining lunch/dinner, private dining and special food experiences. Lead the service team: shift briefings, performance monitoring, coaching, and development of junior staff. Ensure service standards align with luxury dining expectations: impeccable presentation, refined timing, elegant guest interaction. Maintain collaboration between kitchen and service: menu knowledge, plating standards, wine & beverage service, guest special requests. Monitor service flows, table setups, guest arrival/departure, checking guest satisfaction in real-time and rectifying any issues. Assist in stock control, service equipment, glassware, cutlery, and uniform standards. Uphold hygiene, health & safety standards and lodge operational policies during service. Embody the lodge's guest-centric culture, representing the brand with grace and professionalism. Requirements & Experience Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in fine dining or high-end restaurant service (preferably within luxury lodge environment). Strong service knowledge: food & wine pairing, upscale guest interaction, table management, luxury guest expectations. Demonstrated leadership: coaching team members, setting standards, managing service flow under pressure. Excellent communication and organisational skills, professional demeanour, and polished appearance. Comfortable living and working in a remote lodge environment, flexible for shifts, weekends and high guest-season demands. Valid driver's licence preferred.
