Service Manager (luxury Brand Automotive Dealership)

Job Description

A leading premium dealership in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead its high-performing workshop and service team. This role is ideal for a seasoned aftersales professional who understands the standards, customer expectations and operational discipline required within a luxury automotive environment.
You will be responsible for elevating customer satisfaction, optimising workshop performance, and ensuring that all service operations run smoothly, profitably and in line with premium brand requirements.
What You Will Oversee

  • Full management of the service department. workflow, scheduling and operational efficiency
  • Delivery of an exceptional customer journey from booking to vehicle return
  • Monitoring CSI and NPS results. resolving escalations and driving customer loyalty
  • Leadership of service advisors, technicians and support staff, as well as coaching and performance management
  • Achievement of service KPIs including profitability, productivity, sales targets and retention
  • Budget and cost management. planning and monitoring departmental financial performance
  • Collaboration with technical teams to resolve complex repairs and technical concerns
  • Compliance with safety, regulatory and OEM service process standards
  • Coordination with the parts department to ensure availability, accuracy and cost-effective stock control
What You Need to Bring
  • Minimum 5 years in automotive service management or senior service sales
  • Premium brand or 4x4 specialist experience including at least one of the following brands - Land Rover, Jaguar, BMW, Volvo, Ford, Peugeot or Citroen
  • Strong technical understanding of vehicle systems and workshop operations
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing multi-disciplinary service teams
  • Ability to drive CSI improvements, increase revenue and manage profitability
  • Strong communication, customer relationship and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems such as Kerridge, Evolve or other ERPs
  • Relevant automotive or business qualifications will be advantageous
