The role:

To plan, organize, lead and control and modify or service Sandvik Mining equipment and/or components, through:

Repair machines or components

Build and sustain customer relations

Effective supervision and training of subordinates

Implement and sustain Safety, Health & Environmental Effectiveness

This service is rendered to all Sandvik internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities:

Identify faults and assess machines and components and report accordingly to Contract Manager.

Supervise the team to ensure that repairs of machines and components is as per OEM Specification

Update project plan & provide feedback to the Contract manager daily

Recommend machine upgrades and communicate these updates to the customer and Contract Manager

Comply with SMR SHEQ management system and the Objectives and Targets set.

Conduct Regular audits, visits & reviews (e.g., tool inspections, workplace inspections, EHS audits as per SMRT standard specifications, Planned Task Observations etc.)

Address and report all customer complaints & suggestions referring to machines/components to Contract Manager

Conduct Needs analysis (e.g., Training needs, tool requirements, labor requirements etc.) to ensure effective operations

Supervise the team to ensure that repairs of machines and components is as per OEM Specification.

Standby duties on weekdays and weekends

Requirements for the role:

Continuous miner , Shuttle car , Roof bolter ,Feeder breaker and Section switch gear and Transformer experience .

Supervisory experience (3 years)

English proficiency

Experience in inventory control

Trackless mining experience (advantageous)

Grade 12 with Mathxe2x80x99s and Science /N3 Technical Qualification / Equivalent Qualification

Relevant trade certificate

Computer literacy

Knowledge of Sandvik Databases (Advantageous)

Valid Driverxe2x80x99s license

Gas testing and Flameproofing
