Senior/fet Phase Locum Teacher

Job Description

Croydon House School is a Christian private independent school based in Chartwell, Fourways. We hold strong Christian ethos and values and seek a qualified, passionate and enthusiastic Senior/FET Phase Locum Teacher for Geography, History and Social Science, who has the same Christian values and is eager to teach, inspire and make a positive impact on our young learners. The position is for a temporary period of 4-6 weeks from 08 September 2025 to around 10 October or 24 October 2025.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the CAPS curriculum.

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

- Monitor and assess students' progress and provide feedback.

- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding students development.

- Participate in school events and extra-curricular activities.

Requirements:

- Be registered with SACE (South African Council for Educators).

- Hold a relevant B Ed degree in FET Phase Education.

- Have experience teaching in Senior/FET Phase.

- Strong understanding of child development principles.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.

- Commitment to continuous professional development.
