Responsibilities and Duties

The design and managing water engineering infrastructure projects (i.e., Bulk Water, Water reticulation, Water Treatment facilities, Waste Water Plant, Reservoirs, Serwer and etc);

To develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans;

Manage resident engineers, determines project specifications by studying;

product design, customer requirements, and performance standards;

Completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates;

Conduct on-site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.)

Assess potential risks, materials and costs;

Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies;

Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders;

Monitor progress and compile reports in project status;

Manage budget and purchases of equipment/materials;

Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc.; and

Deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.

Experience and Minimum Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering Bsc /BEng or related Engineering qualification.

Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng / Pr Tech.

Registration with SACPCMP and/or Project Management Profession (PMU) is an added advantage.

At least 8-12 years relevant experience in the industry.

Experience in design & construction of roads, water and waste treatment projects, buildings infrastructure

Understanding of the importance and use of document control and ISO systems within a design environment.

Software: MS Office, MS Project, Autodesk related software and.

Driver's license: essential.

Pay: R750000,00 - R800000,00 per year
