Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will lead the video editing process from concept to final delivery, collaborating closely with directors and creative teams to bring stories to life through visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

1.

Pre-Production:

Collaborate with the director and creative team to develop and break down shoots into shot lists with proposals of movement, shot size, and angle. Advise production teams on technical aspects, such as editing possibilities at various stages and optimal frame rates and resolutions.

Video Editing:

Utilize editing software and tools to cut, splice, and manipulate video and audio elements, ensuring smooth transitions, appropriate pacing, and a polished final product. Load and select footage that aligns with the client and director's vision. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, checking for continuity errors, ensuring consistent color grading and audio levels, and conducting thorough reviews for flawless final edits. Address creative and technical challenges, such as issues with footage limitations or creative changes, and solutions to enhance the final output.

Post-Production:

Create and manage post workflows and filing systems for easy access and reference according to current post-process. Ensure all videos meet the highest technical and creative standards. Demonstrate knowledge of online requirements and handovers.

Collaboration:

Work with directors, other team members and clients to interpret feedback and implement changes. Provide creative input and direction throughout the editing process. Solve problems as they arise, from visual issues to timing plans, maintaining a balanced approach between flexibility and rigidity.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years' experience as a video editor, with a portfolio of work to showcase.

Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects. Davinci Resolve operation is advantageous.

Basic rotoscoping/Advanced masking skills are vital.

Strong understanding of the technical aspects of video production and post-production.

Excellent storytelling, verbal and written communication skills.

* On-set editing experience, as well as having basic camera operation knowledge is a bonus.
