Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer with extensive experience in app design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing intuitive and visually appealing user experiences for our mobile applications. As a Senior UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, define design strategies, and ensure the seamless integration of user interfaces with our clients' e-commerce sites, apps, and products. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, focusing on mobile applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of mobile app design projects and proven track record of delivering high-quality user experiences.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines is a plus.
- Previous experience in the South African market or Africa region is advantageous.
- Lead the end-to-end UX design process for mobile applications, from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with project goals and user requirements.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to gather insights and inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups communicating design concepts and user interactions.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into innovative, user-friendly design solutions.
- Establish and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability across all applications.
- Iterate designs based on feedback, user testing results, and emerging industry trends to continuously improve the user experience.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the organization.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, design tools, and industry trends to enhance design processes and stay ahead of the curve.
