Job Summary A leading wealth management company in South Africa is seeking experienced Senior Transfer Specialists to join their dynamic teams across Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Port Elizabeth. Responsibilities
Facilitate and process all types of platform transfers, including Section 14, Section 50, and discretionary transfers across Life and LISP platforms.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory and compliance standards such as FAIS and FICA.
Perform reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies or unmatched transactions promptly.
Manage, verify, and quality-check all transfer documentation, including mandates, forms, and confirmations.
Track transfer workflows using internal systems (e.g., CRM, Finswitch, TAU) to ensure timely completion.
Identify process gaps and recommend or implement improvements to enhance transfer efficiency and mitigate risks.
Uphold organisational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex transfer queries.
Maintain proactive communication with advisers, clients, and third-party providers throughout the transfer lifecycle.
Provide guidance on procedures and compliance requirements to prevent delays.
Respond to queries professionally and promptly via email, phone, and meetings.
Maintain accurate records of all transfer activities and communications.
Generate operational reports to monitor SLA performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure efficiency.
Participate in system testing and provide feedback for enhancements related to transfer processes.
Develop strong working relationships with internal departments such as Client Services, Legal, Compliance, and Adviser Offices.
Liaise with external platforms, asset managers, and insurers to streamline transfer processes and manage expectations.
Contribute to knowledge sharing and training on transfer procedures and product updates.
Monitor turnaround times to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
Identify and escalate risks within the transfer process; contribute to risk management initiatives.
Drive continuous service improvement through process reviews and stakeholder feedback.
Assist in resolving issues that may impact client satisfaction or organisational reputation.
Requirements
BCom or equivalent qualification in Finance, Investment Management, or Business Administration (NQF Level 7 or equivalent).
6-8 years' experience within the LISP/platform investment industry.
Minimum 4 years' experience specifically in transfer processing.
Strong knowledge of Life and LISP products with expertise in sectional transfers.
Familiarity with platforms such as Finswitch, CRM systems, and transfer administration tools.
Advanced understanding of LISP operational processes and investment products.
Proficiency with investment management operational technologies and software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven relationship-building abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Effective project management and organisational capabilities.
