Job Description

Our client is a Centurion based software development company looking for an experienced Software Test Analyst with 5+ years of experience in Web based applications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will become part of an exciting team of Test Analysts whose focus is to ensure that the

developed Web based software is of a high standard and quality. You will work closely with the Software Developers and Business Analysts and will participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle including specification, user-interface design, testing and deployment.

You will be responsible for the following:

- Compile testing plans for the developed software

- Perform testing and quality assurance

- Assist the team in improving the testing process

- Assist with client support

- Be a mentor for junior/intermediate Testers

Depending on your experience and contribution, you can also:

- Become a Team Leader

- Form part of the group of seniors who assist with decisions regarding high level planning, resource allocation, implementations, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicable qualification, ISTQB and tertiary qualification preferred

South African citizen, fluent in Afrikaans and English

5+ years experience in Web application testing and quality assurance with the following

requirements:

- Experience with software test tools and processes

- Experience with automated testing software will be an advantage

- Experience with testing complex and intricate processes

- Technical knowledge will be an advantage (database structures, SQL, HTML)

- Experience in MS Office including Excel, Word

- Experience with different Web browsers (at least Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox)

- Highly proficient in writing and reading English

- Experience in creating of test documentation

- System support experience
