Time Conditions: 5 day Work Week (South Africa)

Purpose of Position: To screen slides and prepare cytology specimens and to oversee daily operation and Quality Control in the Cytology laboratory.

Requirements: HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field: Biomedical Science (Required), National Diploma: Biomedical Technology (Required)

Required Experience: General management experience, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Word, Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy, Screening Experience

Key Responsibilities: Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory, Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld, Receive and process specimens in order to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory, Supervise laboratory personnel to ensure that objectives are achieved, Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education
